Are you still looking for different ways to assess learning? How about different ways to promote learning? 99math was brought to me by a colleague from another district, and their testimony and how it encourages their students to continue to grow in their math fact mastery, through an interesting approach, had me intrigued right away. Once I signed up for an account, and uploaded my roster, I had my students try it right away. My students really enjoyed the fact that they could work on their facts practice, but also that it encouraged them to not just worry about who is the fastest, but also see who could improve the most from the last round. Live games through 99 math give three different rounds of their learning. After the first round, it will keep track of who is the most improved, who has done more facts than I did, the previous round, which promotes an extremely positive growth mindset amongst students. A teacher can never have enough tools in their toolbelt, and resources at their fingertips, so I encourage you to try 99math, and see if it will fit your classroom, inspire your students on to greater learning!
