Seesaw: End-of-Year Checklist

Depending on the grade level, NPAS teachers use two (2) different versions of Seesaw. Follow the end-of-year procedures listed below for your version of Seesaw.

Seesaw for Schools (grades K-1... paid subscription)

  • If you are a K-1 teacher, you do NOT have to do anything with your classes.
  • All the activities you’ve created this year will remain in your Activity Library.
  • Do NOT delete or archive your class; classes will be archived automatically.
  • Do NOT remove students or student work; student portfolios will be archived.
  • Do NOT turn off family access; this allows families to see their child's work.
  • Next school year, your new class will be created and rostered automatically.

Seesaw - Free (anyone else who chooses to use Seesaw)

  • Step 1: Archive each of your classes
    • Click the Class Settings (wrench) icon
    • Scroll to the bottom and click: Archive Class
  • Step 2: Families download journals (student portfolio)
    • With the free plan, journals to do not follow students year-to-year
    • When you archive a class, Seesaw emails families with instructions to download their student’s work
    • Next school year, create a new Seesaw class
